The 5XD 19/12 blue sonde is a replacement dual-frequency transmitter compatible with DigiTrak F5 locating systems. It operates at either 12 kHz or 19.2 kHz, providing a depth range of up to 19.8 meters. The sonde transmits 12 clock positions with an inclination accuracy of ±0.1%, and automatically switches to standby mode after 15 minutes of inactivity.
A key improvement over OEM is significantly reduced power consumption. The original DigiTrak transmitter draws 100–110 mA in standalone operation; our upgraded 5XD sonde draws only 45–55 mA. Inside the drill head (where losses increase current draw by 70–100%), branded transmitters consume 180–220 mA, while ours consume only 100–120 mA — extending battery life and reducing heat buildup.
The structural elements responsible for reliable operation in harsh HDD conditions have also been reinforced for improved durability.
Important: This sonde is compatible with DigiTrak F5 only. It does NOT work with the Falcon F5 system — these are different locating platforms.
