The DX red SwP sonde is a replacement transmitter with switchable power (SwP), compatible with all DigiTrak Mark 3, Mark 4, and Mark 5 locating systems. Operating at 33 kHz, it offers two selectable depth modes: standard mode at 21.3 meters and enhanced (high-power) mode at 27 meters — making it the deepest-reaching sonde in the DigiTrak Mark lineup. It transmits 12 clock positions with an inclination accuracy of ±0.1%, and automatically switches to standby after 15 minutes of inactivity.

- Enhanced mode (27 m): Insert batteries from the bottom, shake vigorously, and wait 5 seconds.
- Standard mode (21.3 m): Insert batteries from the top, shake vigorously, and wait 5 seconds.
