The ST SwP green sonde for DigiTrak SE has switchable power. It operates at 12 kHz: in standard mode up to 15.24 meters, in high power mode up to 19 meters. The transmitter sends 12 clock positions and inclination with 1% accuracy. It switches to standby mode after 15 minutes.
Switching to ST SwP high power mode
To switch the probe to high power mode:
- Lift the operating probe upside down for 7 seconds,
- Then lower it upside down for 7 seconds,
- And lift it upside down again for 7 seconds.
After that, use the locator to monitor the increase in power (signal level), then perform the standard calibration procedure.
Note: When switching modes, wait up to 15 minutes without batteries — residual voltage can block the sensor and cause it to "freeze."
Operating time increased by 2× — reduced current consumption while maintaining signal strength.
