The RN-RDDi is a dual-frequency replacement transmitter compatible with Radiodetection RD-385L, DrillTrack and iTrack HDD locating systems. It operates at either 8 kHz or 33 kHz — selected by battery installation direction — giving you the flexibility of two sondes in one body.
The sonde transmits 16 clock positions during rotation with inclination accuracy of ±1%. Battery life from a set of alkaline batteries (4000 mAh) is 55 hours at standard depth of up to 12 meters.
How to select frequency:
- — Insert batteries with the head down (battery compartment up) → 8 kHz
- — Insert batteries with the head up (battery compartment down) → 33 kHz
The selected frequency is confirmed 5 seconds after installation. Wait 60 seconds after removing batteries before switching frequency — the sonde continues operating for 40–50 seconds after battery removal.
