17T2 Probe/Transmitter for Ditch Witch Subsite TKQ, TKD, TK Recon Series

The DW-TG2 is a dual-frequency replacement transmitter compatible with Ditch Witch TK, TKQ and TK Recon locating systems. It transmits 24 clock positions and tilt data with an accuracy of ±0.1%, and offers switchable frequency and switchable power mode for maximum versatility on site.

How to select frequency:

• — Insert batteries from the top → 12 kHz
• — Insert batteries from the bottom → 29 kHz

The frequency is confirmed after 5–7 seconds. Hold the sonde in the selected vertical position until confirmed. Wait 60 seconds after removing batteries before switching frequency — the sonde continues operating for 40–50 seconds after battery removal.

How to activate high-power mode (increases depth from 20 m to 25–30 m depending on frequency, battery life reduced by up to 50%):

1. Hold the active sonde upside down for 7 seconds
2. Lower it right-side up for 7 seconds
3. Raise it upside down again for 7 seconds — the sonde switches to high-power mode

After switching, verify the increased signal level on the locator, then perform the standard calibration procedure. After replacing batteries, the sonde returns to standard power automatically — repeat the sequence to re-activate. No recalibration needed.
